According to China’snetwork to understand, Europe’s first electric motorcycle taxi company Hopper October 1 opened in the Dutch capital, the company’s hundreds of electric small motorcycles from today will become part of the downtown traffic in Amsterdam.
These motorcycles will only travel in the center of Amsterdam, a unified charge of 2.5 euros, the maximum speed of 25 km, full of electricity up to 130 km. Equipped with TomTo navigation and tracking system, and a Samsung (microblogging) smart phone, in the rear of the motorcycle also installed a Tablet PC, used to play digital advertising.
Amsterdam’s 17th century canal and cobbled streets make it difficult and time to drive a car in the city center, which is one of the reasons why so many people are more likely to ride a bike in the city center.
The Dutch public transport is usually considered to be reliable and efficient, but these services, including trams, trains and buses, are not seen in the oldest part of the city center of Amsterdam, Hopper founder Ruben Beugels, These places will become the site of the company.
Beugel expects these electric motorcycles to be part of the urban life of Amsterdam and hopes to launch the service next year in The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht.
